THE STEVE WAUGH FOUNDATION, THE CAPTAIN'S RIDE
ONTHEGO Sports is honoured to work with Steve Waugh and The Steve Waugh Foundation on their main fundraising event, The Captain's Ride. The Steve Waugh Foundation supports children and young adults with Rare Diseases.
“The rare disease patient is the orphan of the health system, often without diagnosis, without treatment, without research and therefore, without reason to hope.”
The Steve Waugh Foundation provides Individual Grants and Respite Camps along with supporting research and raising awareness for rare diseases. Their mission is to ensure children and young adults with rare diseases have somewhere they can turn.
We are humbled to be working with The Steve Waugh Foundation on The Captain's Ride by raising awareness, being an official supporter, providing riders gear and having our founder and CEO, Mick Spencer, take part and fundraise for the 6-day ride.
